CALL TO ORDER

Chair Lambert acknowledges the passing of former Mayor John Grace.

5.1

Ben Crooks, Planner with HM Aero re: East Development Area Taxiway Servicing

Janice Hallahan, Chief Administrative Officer suggests that the East Development Area Taxiway Servicing be presented in Closed Session.

The Committee agrees to move the discussion into Closed Session.

5.2

Taylor Lambert, Chair re: Formation of an Independent Airport Commission as discussed in Section 8 of the Strategic Plan

Ben Crooks, HM Aero Planner reviews Section 8 of the Airport Strategic Plan regarding the recommendation of the formation of an Independent Airport Commission.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS

6.1

Janice Hallahan, Chief Administrative Officer and Sean Thomas, Director of Operations re: Goderich Airport Student Wage Structure - pending

Janice Hallahan, Chief Administrative Officer provides a review of steps taken with regards to the Student Wage Structure.

It was suggested that a student position be indicated in the 2023 budget deliberations.

Sean Thomas, Director of Operations re: Additional Airport Hangar - pending

Sean Thomas, Director of Operations re: 30 Cent Fixed Fuel Surcharge - pending

Sean Thomas, Director of Operations reviews the Operations Managers Airport Fuel report and indicates that a purchase for a larger fuel tank will be included in the 2023 budget deliberations.

Andrea Fisher, Clerk re: Promotional Airport Materials for Sale - pending

Andrea Fisher, Clerk comments that promotional items for the Airport will be available next week.

Jenna Ujiye, Tourism and Community Development Officer re: Canadian Owners and Pilots Association Magazine Article - pending

Chair Lambert comments that he is working with the Tourism and Community Development Officer to draft an article for the Canadian Owners and Pilots Association magazine.

Bruce Power re: Joint Opportunities - pending

Exploration of Funding Models to Support Goderich Municipal Airport re: Feasibility and Planning Studies for an Official Plan/Zoning Amendment - pending

POSSIBLE CLOSED COMMITTEE MEETING MATTERS

In the event that the Committee enters into a possible Closed Session pursuant to Section 239 (2) of the Municipal Act, the Committee will reconvene following the Closed Session at which time the public and press may be present.

  Janice Hallahan, Chief Administrative Officer comments that in Closed Session property matters were discussed under Section 239(2)(b) of the Municipal Act, and no direction was given.

The next Goderich Municipal Airport Committee meeting is scheduled for September 15, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. through Zoom.
